Columbia Presbyterian Church Staff

The Rev. Thomas "Tom" R. Hagood Jr. CTS ’96
Pastor

Tenure: 10 years and counting

My role: I share the good news of Jesus Christ. I serve the Lord's Supper and baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I love to make new friends and build relationships; I counsel people, listen very carefully to problems and concerns, and pray a lot. I visit the sick in hospitals and in their homes. I share in church fellowship activities, as well as help in the mission work of the church. I serve my Lord wherever I’m needed, and I love what I do.
How I can help: If you are interested in knowing more about Columbia Presbyterian Church and what it means to join as a member, I can help you. If you have a special need, I can assist you in finding the help you need. If you need prayer, I will pray with you. If you want to know where you can serve other people in our community, I can take you to the person you need to meet. If you want someone to help guide you in your spiritual growth, the ministers of this church, which include every member as well as myself, stand ready to walk with you.

The Rev. Wendy Dewberry CTS '08
Associate Pastor

Tenure: Associate Pastor for youth ministries, January 2011-
Director of Christian Education, October 2008-December 2010
Director of Youth Activities, June-October 2008
Pastoral Intern, Summer 2005

My role: As associate pastor, I am involved in pastoral care, worship, administration and the teaching ministries of the church with primary responsibilities for youth ministry. I hold an MSW from the University of Alabama and the MDiv from Columbia Theological Seminary. I enjoy playing board games with my two sons, exploring Atlanta, reading a good book, and watching anything in which television writer and director Joss Whedon is involved. I love that in my work at Columbia Presbyterian, I get to combine all the things I enjoy doing.

Dorothy Clark
Office administrator

Tenure: Office administrator 1992-1996
Summer secretary until 2009
Office administrator 2009–present

My role: I grew up at Columbia Church and officially joined in 1962 at age 9. As office administrator, I manage the church office during week, maintain the church calendar and office email accounts, publish the monthly newsletter and weekly worship bulletin and serve as liaison between the church and the Waldorf School of Atlanta. Since I also am an organist, I occasionally have the privilege of playing our wonderful pipe organ for special services.
