NEW World's Record Set!  CPC Sandwich-Makers Aspire to Future Greatness, on the LAST Tuesday of each month, at 5:30 p.m.

Preliminary results indicate a new world's record was set tonight, for best time in preparing sandwiches at Columbia Presbyterian Church.  The previous record was set during the  "Katrina Sack Lunch" marathon in September 2005.

Pictured here are a few of the 150 peanut butter and pb&j sandwiches made for distribution at Central Presbyterian Church Night Shelter.  The elapsed time:  47 min, 16 seconds.

A spokeswoman for CPC's Presbyterian Women expressed satisfaction with the results, and predicted that the next event, on the last Tuesday of next month, at 5:30 p.m. would be even more impressive.

"This time we had a great turnout, and the energy was very intense.  I think much of the credit goes to Robbie S., our pb&j/dj.  Thanks to all who turned out!" said Sandra T.  "And don't forget to mark your calendars for the LAST Tuesday of each month.  And if you can't participate in person, you can bring jars of peanut butter and jelly to church and/or contribute in cash so we can purchase these supplies."
