CPC Cookbook!

Have you ever attended a pot-luck lunch at our church?

If you have, then you know there are some great cooks in our congregation!

(If you haven't, be sure to stay after church on the third Sunday of each month!)

In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Columbia Presbyterian Church, we have published a cookbook with recipes received from members and friends.

This cookbook contains 349 recipes, many from our charter members.

Also included is a brief history of the church, lists of the charter members and the ministers who have served our congregation and many of the “firsts” for our church.  These articles are also on our website, on the "History of CPC" page.

These cookbooks not only make great gifts, they will be a great keepsake of this special anniversary.

Cookbooks are available in the church office for $15 each, or can be mailed to you for an additional $5 per cookbook.

Please contact Suzi at 404-284-2441 to order your cookbook

or drop by the church office and pick up your copy today!

“Feeding the Flock for 60 Years”
An Appreciation

A special thank you …
to Ernelle for contributing the original Columbia cookbook, Look Who’s Cooking, which contained recipes from our charter and early members;

to the Joy Seekers Sunday School Class for their collection of recipes;

to Wendy and Charlie for the cover design and help in the final proofing of the recipes;

to my husband Glenn who helped me interpret handwriting, urged me on as I typed and proofed and re-proofed all 349 recipes to ensure their accuracy, poured over the history books of the church and agonized over which photos to use;

and especially to all the members and friends of Columbia Presbyterian Church who for the past 60 years have lovingly prepared and “fed the flock” and have taken the time to share their recipes with us.

Many of these recipes have been passed on to us from our mothers and grandmothers.  We do not claim that these are original recipes, but are among our favorites.

There is a special bond among those who break bread together.  We have shared that bond for the past 60 years and look forward to sharing it for the next 60.

We hope that this collection of our favorite recipes will bless those who use them as much as they have blessed and nourished us.
